You’ll immediatly want to buy a cool looking replica and go to your nearest field.
I can give you some tips, because trust me. You might want to put that thought of buying gear for a sport you’ve never even played, aside.
DO NOT BUY A REPLICA BEFORE YOU TRY
Seriously.
Replica’s are very pricey and you need some knowledge on your country’s law surrounding them.
Most airsoft fields offer a rental package that includes a replica, some form of faceprotection, and at least one magazine of ammo. Booking your first session with one of these packages is a great way to get an introduction to this beautiful sport.
You’re going to get hurt. It’s part of the game
During your first game, you might be constantly worried about getting hurt, and dreading getting hit. That’s why you decide to camp and hide in a corner and barely shoot.
Come on. You’ve paid money to rent a replica, so use it!
Getting hurt is part of the game so if you can’t stand the thought of going home with a welt somewhere on your body, this sport is clearly not for you.
Protection first, replica later
Now, you’ve played your first game. You like the sport. What now?
Well, I always sugest investing in good protection first. This means getting:
- Glasses or goggles
- Facemask
- Tactical gloves
- Tactical boots
before investing in a replica. Just play your next few games with a rental replica first. Trust me, protection is important.
Do some research
There are a lot of cool looking replica’s out there, but please do research first.
Figure out what kind of playstyle you want to take on and what type of gameplay you will be taking part in.
Get yourself fammiliar with these abbriviations, they will help you in your airsoft journey:

Also do research into your country’s laws about owning one and how to transport it.
